→ For Garnish

11 - Sliced green onions

# Instructions:

01 - In a bowl, combine hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, rice wine, oyster sauce, five-spice powder, garlic, ginger, and food coloring (if using). Stir until well incorporated.
02 - Place chicken thighs in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for 2-3 hours to allow flavors to penetrate.
03 - Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or your oven to 190°C (375°F).
04 - For grilling: Grill the chicken for 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with extra marinade, until internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F). For roasting: Place chicken on a baking sheet and roast for 25-30 minutes, basting occasionally, until golden and cooked through.
05 - Slice the chicken, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot with steamed rice, noodles, or vegetables.

# Notes:

01 - Hoisin sauce adds a sweet and salty depth to the marinade.
02 - Five-spice powder gives the dish its signature flavor.
03 - Chinese rice wine provides slight acidity and enhances the flavors.
04 - Honey balances the saltiness of the soy sauce and adds a rich sweetness.
