Mozzarella Pepperoni Croissant Rolls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 1 package croissant dough

→ Filling

02 - 6 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
03 - 3 ounces pepperoni slices

→ Seasoning

04 - 2 tablespoons butter, melted
05 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
07 - 1/4 teaspoon dried basil

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
02 - Unroll the package of croissant dough and separate into individual triangles along the perforated lines.
03 - Place the shredded mozzarella cheese in a small bowl and set aside.
04 - Cut pepperoni slices in half to create smaller pieces that will fit on the dough triangles.
05 - Melt butter in a microwave-safe dish or on the stovetop, then stir in garlic powder, dried oregano, and dried basil until well combined.
06 - Brush the herb butter mixture generously over the surface of each croissant dough triangle.
07 - Place a few pieces of pepperoni at the wide end of each dough triangle.
08 - Sprinkle a heaping tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese over the pepperoni slices.
09 - Carefully roll up each dough triangle, starting from the wide end and rolling towards the point, keeping the cheese and pepperoni inside.
10 - Arrange the rolled croissants on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each for expansion during baking.
11 - Brush remaining butter mixture over the top of each croissant roll for added flavor and a golden finish.
12 - Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese has melted.
13 - Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
14 - Serve warm as a snack or appetizer.

# Notes:

01 - For a crispier texture, consider baking on a wire rack instead of a baking sheet.
02 - Substitute pepperoni with other deli meats like salami or ham for different flavors.
03 - Add grated Parmesan cheese on top before baking for extra flavor.
04 - Incorporate red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
05 - For a vegetarian version, replace pepperoni with vegetables like spinach or mushrooms.
