Salted Caramel Chocolate Pillows (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base Ingredients

01 - 1 refrigerated pie crust, thawed
02 - 14 Hershey Kisses of choice
03 - 1 egg white whisked with 1 Tbsp water
04 - 1 small jar caramel topping
05 - Mediterranean Sea Salt

→ Optional Toppings

06 - 1 cup chocolate chips, melted
07 - 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts
08 - Powdered sugar for dusting
09 - Granulated sugar for sprinkling before baking

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
02 - Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or spray with non-stick baking oil.
03 - Roll out the pie crust on a lightly floured counter top.
04 - Cut 2 1/2 inch circles with a knife, biscuit cutter, or drinking glass.
05 - Place one Hershey Kiss in the center of each circle.
06 - Fold half of the pie dough over the Kiss and seal the edge. Then pull the other half up to form a criss-cross pattern and pinch to seal all edges completely.
07 - Brush each pillow puff with the egg wash. Sprinkle with granulated sugar or Mediterranean salt according to preference.
08 - Bake at 175°C (350°F) for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
09 - Remove from oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Drizzle with caramel topping and sprinkle with Mediterranean Sea Salt.

# Notes:

01 - You can re-roll scraps to make additional pillows - up to 16 total.
02 - Different flavored Hershey Kisses can be used for variety.
