06 - 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
07 - 1 large egg

08 - 1 cup white sugar
09 - 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder

→ For Cooking

10 - Cooking spray or additional melted butter

# Instructions:

01 - Grab a saucepan and toss in your water, butter, salt, and sugar. Crank up the heat until the mixture starts to bubble and boil. Once it's rolling, turn the heat down and gradually sprinkle in your flour while stirring like crazy. Keep mixing until the dough pulls away from the sides and forms a smooth ball. Take it off the heat - your arm will thank you!
02 - Dump your hot dough into a mixing bowl and let it chill for about 4-5 minutes. You want it warm, not scorching. Once it's cooled down a bit, crack in your egg and splash in the vanilla. Grab your electric mixer and beat everything together until it's smooth and glossy. The dough should be thick enough to hold its shape but soft enough to pipe.
03 - Scoop that churro goodness into a piping bag fitted with a star tip if you're fancy, or just a regular tip if you're not. Meanwhile, preheat your air fryer to 375°F. Give the basket a good spray with cooking oil to prevent any sticky situations later.
04 - Squeeze the dough into the air fryer basket, making bite-sized pieces about 2-3 inches long. Don't crowd them - they need room to puff up! If piping feels too fussy, just drop small spoonfuls of dough into the basket instead. Either way, they'll taste amazing.
05 - Brush or spray a little butter over your churros, then slide the basket into the air fryer. Cook for 10-12 minutes until they're beautifully golden brown and crispy on the outside. You might need to cook several batches depending on how big your air fryer is.
06 - While your churros are cooking, mix the sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl. As soon as the churros come out of the air fryer (while they're still hot!), toss them in this sweet mixture. If they need help getting the coating to stick, brush them with a little melted butter first.
07 - These little bites of heaven are best enjoyed warm! Serve them up with chocolate sauce, caramel, or Nutella for dipping. Watch them disappear faster than you can say 'churro'!

# Notes:

01 - These air fryer churros give you all the crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside texture of traditional churros with way less oil.
02 - The dough can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before cooking.
03 - If you don't have a piping bag, you can use a zip-top bag with the corner snipped off as a makeshift piping tool.
