Air Fryer Corn Ribs (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 ears corn on the cob
02 - 3 tablespoons butter, softened
03 - 2 teaspoons paprika
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - Salt to taste
06 - Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (optional)

→ Optional Dipping Sauce

07 - 1/4 cup mayonnaise
08 - 1 tablespoon BBQ sauce

# Instructions:

01 - Start by cutting off the ends of your corn. Then remove the husks and all that silky stuff from each ear. Give them a good rinse under cold water to make sure they're nice and clean.
02 - Pop the whole ears in the microwave for about 2 minutes to soften them up - this makes them much easier to cut. Let them cool for 5 minutes so you don't burn your fingers.
03 - Take a sharp knife and carefully stand each ear of corn vertically on your cutting board. Slice it in half from top to bottom, then cut each half into quarters. You'll end up with 4 long 'ribs' from each ear. If that's too tricky, try cutting the ears in half horizontally first, then make shorter ribs.
04 - In a small bowl, mix together your softened butter with the paprika, garlic powder, salt, and herbs if you're using them. Stir until everything is well combined and the butter turns a pretty reddish color.
05 - Use a silicone brush or the back of a spoon to spread the seasoned butter all over your corn ribs, making sure to coat all sides.
06 - Arrange the buttered corn ribs in a single layer in your air fryer basket - don't stack them or they won't get crispy! Air fry at 400°F for 10-12 minutes total, pausing halfway through to flip them over. They're done when they start to curl up and get those tasty charred edges.
07 - While the corn is cooking, mix the mayonnaise and BBQ sauce together in a small bowl for a quick and tangy dipping sauce.

# Notes:

01 - Be extremely careful when cutting the corn - use a sharp knife and take your time. If you find it difficult, cut the ears in half horizontally first and make shorter ribs.
02 - Try an Elote (Mexican Street Corn) variation by using 1 teaspoon chili powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning, then sprinkle with Cotija cheese after cooking.
03 - For a sweet version, mix 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon with the butter instead of the savory spices.
04 - For Jamaican-style corn ribs, add 1/2 tablespoon of jerk seasoning to the butter mixture.
