1 ripe avocado

3 garlic cloves

4-5 fresh basil leaves

1 shallot, peeled

Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Add all ingredients, roughly chopped, to a food processor and blend until smooth and well combined.

Use immediately as a sandwich spread or dip, or transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate.
