Bacon Cream Cheese Tortellini (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pasta

01 - 12 oz fresh or frozen cheese tortellini

→ Sauce Base

02 - 6 oz softened cream cheese
03 - 1 cup heavy cream
04 - 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

→ Proteins

05 - 6 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked and crumbled

→ Aromatics & Seasonings

06 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
07 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
08 - Salt and pepper to taste

→ Garnish

09 - Fresh chopped parsley

# Instructions:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook tortellini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside, reserving the rendered fat in the skillet.
03 - Add minced garlic to the bacon fat and sauté for approximately 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn.
04 - Reduce heat to low. Add softened cream cheese to the skillet, stirring continuously until it begins to melt and combine with the garlic.
05 - Gradually pour in heavy cream while stirring constantly to create a smooth sauce. Add grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, continuing to stir until cheese fully melts.
06 - Add salt and pepper to taste, adjusting seasoning as needed.
07 - Add cooked tortellini and crumbled bacon to the sauce, gently tossing until pasta is completely coated.
08 - Transfer to serving plates and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.

01 - For a thicker consistency, add additional cream cheese to the sauce.
