Blue Cheese Walnut Thyme Twirl (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pastry and Filling

01 - 2 sheets of square-shaped puff pastry
02 - 2 tablespoons of honey
03 - 100 grams of crumbled blue cheese
04 - 100 grams of grated Parmesan cheese
05 - 50 grams of chopped walnuts
06 - 6–8 sprigs of fresh thyme leaves
07 - 1 tablespoon of milk
08 - Sea salt and cracked pepper, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). For non-fan forced electric ovens, increase to 200°C (390°F).
02 - Drizzle 1 tablespoon of honey over each sheet of puff pastry.
03 - Evenly divide chopped walnuts, crumbled blue cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese between the two puff pastry sheets. Sprinkle fresh thyme leaves over the top and season with sea salt and cracked pepper.
04 - Roll each sheet of puff pastry tightly, then cut each roll in half lengthwise. Tuck pastry edges to keep the filling intact.
05 - On baking paper, twist each length of pastry carefully and form into a round coil shape.
06 - Brush the pastry coils with milk for a golden finish, and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until puffed, golden, and cooked through.
07 - Remove the pastry from the oven, scatter extra thyme leaves on top, and serve warm.

01 - Ensure puff pastry is well-chilled to achieve a flakier texture.
02 - Avoid excess moisture in the filling to prevent a soggy pastry.
