01 -
Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). This will ensure that your oven is at the perfect temperature when your pie bombs are ready to bake.
02 -
Pop open your can of refrigerated biscuits and separate them. Take each biscuit and flatten it with your palms or a rolling pin until it's about twice its original size. You want them thin enough to fold but not so thin they'll tear when filled.
03 -
Spoon about a teaspoon of blueberry jam onto the center of each flattened biscuit. Then add 2-3 fresh blueberries on top of the jam. The combination of jam and fresh berries creates an amazing burst of flavor when you bite into these little bombs!
04 -
Carefully fold the edges of each biscuit over the filling, bringing them together at the top. Pinch and seal the edges firmly to create a ball shape, making sure there are no openings where the filling could leak out during baking. Give them a little roll between your palms to make them nice and round.
05 -
Melt your butter in a small bowl, then dip each sealed pie bomb into the melted butter, making sure it's coated all over. This will give them a gorgeous golden color and rich flavor. Place them on a baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each one as they'll expand while baking. Pop them in the oven for 12-15 minutes until they're beautifully puffed and golden brown.
06 -
Allow your blueberry pie bombs to cool for just a few minutes after taking them out of the oven - the filling will be super hot! Once they're cool enough to handle, dust them lightly with powdered sugar if you'd like, and serve them while they're still warm. Watch everyone's face light up when they bite into these little pockets of blueberry goodness!
