Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for 5 minutes per side, 10 minutes total. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Remove from the pan, cover, and set aside.

Melt butter in the pan and add diced onion. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 4 minutes. Add minced garlic and mushrooms, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.

Add prosciutto to the pan and cook until crispy.

Return the chicken breasts to the pan. Stir to coat with onions, mushrooms, and crispy prosciutto.

Sprinkle freshly squeezed lemon juice over the chicken.

Top each chicken breast with a slice of fontina cheese. Allow the cheese to melt on top of the chicken. Garnish with fresh basil ribbons before serving.
