Crispy Air Fryer Onion Rings (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 large onion, sliced into rings
02 - 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
03 - 1 egg, beaten
04 - 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
05 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1/2 teaspoon paprika
07 - Salt and pepper to taste
08 - Olive oil spray

# Instructions:

01 - Cut your onion into rings about 1/4 inch thick. Separate the rings and set aside.
02 - Get three bowls ready: put the flour in the first one, beat the egg in the second, and mix the panko breadcrumbs with garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper in the third.
03 - Take each onion ring and dip it first in the flour (shake off excess), then into the beaten egg, and finally coat it well with the seasoned breadcrumb mixture.
04 - Get your air fryer nice and hot by preheating it to 375°F for about 3-5 minutes.
05 - Give the air fryer basket a light spray with olive oil to prevent sticking.
06 - Arrange your coated onion rings in a single layer in the basket (you might need to cook in batches). Air fry for 8-10 minutes total, flipping them halfway through cooking for even browning.
07 - Let the crispy onion rings cool for a minute or two before serving them up hot and delicious!

# Notes:

01 - These crispy air-fried onion rings are a healthier alternative to deep-fried versions but still deliver that satisfying crunch!
02 - You can add different seasonings to the breadcrumb mixture for variety - try Italian herbs, cayenne for heat, or even a bit of grated parmesan.
