Easter Rice Krispies Nests (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 16 ounces marshmallows, jumbo or mini
02 - 7 cups Rice Krispies
03 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
04 - Easter egg candies
05 - Buttercream frosting
06 - Green food coloring
07 - ½ cup unsalted butter
08 - 3-4 cups powdered sugar
09 - ¼ cup milk
10 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

# Instructions:

01 - Grease cupcake pans and set aside.
02 - Melt marshmallows and butter in a microwave-safe bowl for about 2 minutes, carefully monitoring to prevent puffing and overflow.
03 - Stir the melted marshmallows and butter until blended, then mix in the Rice Krispies until evenly combined.
04 - Spoon the mixture into the greased cupcake pan and press down with wax paper to form nests.
05 - Allow the nests to set for 30 minutes.
06 - In a large bowl, combine butter, milk, vanilla, and 2 cups of powdered sugar. Mix until smooth and creamy, about 5 minutes. Gradually add the remaining powdered sugar and green food coloring, mixing until well incorporated.
07 - Pipe the frosting onto the set Rice Krispie nests and top with Easter egg candies.
