Easy Marinated Tomatoes Salad (Print Version)

01 - 4 large ripe tomatoes, firm to the touch
02 - 2 garlic cloves, pressed
03 - 1/4 small white onion, finely diced (or red or yellow onion)
04 - 1/2 small bunch fresh dill weed, basil, parsley, or cilantro
05 - 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
06 - 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
07 - 1 tablespoon honey
08 - Kosher salt and ground black pepper, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Slice the tomatoes into 1/3-inch thick slices and finely chop the garlic, onion, and herbs.
02 - In a small bowl, combine the garlic, onion, herbs, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and honey.
03 - Lay the tomato slices on a shallow platter and season with salt and pepper. Spoon the garlic-herb marinade over the tomatoes.
04 - Cover the platter with cling film and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

01 - Use ripe but firm tomatoes for the best texture.
02 - Fresh basil can be substituted for dill if preferred.
03 - Avocado oil can replace olive oil if desired.
