Hot Honey Chicken Sandwiches (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
02 - 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
03 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic salt
05 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar
06 - 1 cup honey
07 - 1 tablespoon vinegar
08 - ΒΌ cup butter
09 - Buns for serving
10 - Pickles for topping

# Instructions:

01 - Spray the bottom of a 6 quart slow cooker with non-stick spray and lay the chicken breasts in.
02 - In a small bowl, mix up the cayenne pepper, paprika and garlic salt.
03 - Sprinkle the seasoning all over the chicken.
04 - Sprinkle on the brown sugar.
05 - Drizzle the honey all over the top of the chicken.
06 - Pour in the vinegar.
07 - Place the butter on top.
08 - Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours or HIGH for 2 hours.
09 - Once cooked, use two forks to shred the chicken right in the slow cooker.
10 - Serve on soft buns with pickle slices.

# Notes:

01 - Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
02 - This is a spicy recipe - to tone it down, reduce the cayenne pepper to 1/2 tablespoon. If you like extra spicy, increase the cayenne to 2 tablespoons.
03 - Serving suggestions - brioche buns, hamburger buns, or pretzel buns.
04 - Optional toppings - ranch dressing or cole slaw.
