01 -
Combine cream cheese, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Mix thoroughly until well incorporated.
02 -
Spread the jalapeño filling evenly on one slice of bread. Top with shredded cheddar cheese, then place the remaining bread slice on top to form a sandwich.
03 -
Spread half of the softened butter on the top slice of bread. Press half of the parmesan cheese into the butter with your fingers, ensuring it adheres well to create a crust.
04 -
Preheat a pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Place the sandwich in the pan with the butter-parmesan side facing down.
05 -
While the first side cooks, spread the remaining butter on the exposed bread slice and press the remaining parmesan cheese into it.
06 -
Cook for 4-5 minutes on the first side until the parmesan forms a crispy golden crust that releases easily from the pan.
07 -
Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until the second side is golden brown and crispy, and the cheeses inside have fully melted.
