Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 2-quart casserole dish.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, Ro'tel tomatoes, sour cream, milk, and taco seasoning. Mix thoroughly until evenly incorporated.

Spread half of the crushed Doritos evenly across the bottom of the prepared casserole dish.

Spoon half of the chicken mixture over the Dorito base layer.

Add remaining crushed Doritos, followed by the rest of the chicken mixture. Finish with a generous layer of shredded cheese on top.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is melted and edges are golden and crispy.

Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving. Optionally garnish with additional crushed Doritos, chopped green onions, or a dollop of sour cream.
