Cheesy Pizza Pockets (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 1 can (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade dough)

→ Filling

02 - ¾ cup pizza sauce
03 - 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
04 - ½ cup mini pepperoni or diced regular pepperoni (optional)
05 - ¼ cup Parmesan cheese (optional)
06 - 1 tsp Italian seasoning

→ Finishing

07 - 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter (for brushing)

→ Optional Fillings

08 - Cooked sausage
09 - Bell peppers
10 - Mushrooms
11 - Olives

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Roll out pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and cut into 8 rectangles or squares.
03 - Add fillings to one side of each dough piece: Spread 1 tbsp of pizza sauce, add a generous sprinkle of mozzarella and any other toppings. Sprinkle with a bit of Parmesan and Italian seasoning.
04 - Fold dough over to form a pocket and crimp the edges with a fork to seal.
05 - Brush tops with olive oil or butter. Sprinkle with a little extra seasoning or cheese if desired.
06 - Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
07 - Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping!

# Notes:

01 - For crispier pockets, you can cut a small slit in the top of each pocket before baking to allow steam to escape.
02 - These pizza pockets can be frozen after baking. Simply reheat in a 350°F oven for 10-15 minutes when ready to eat.
