Mozzarella Fried Sandwich Delight (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 slices white bread, crusts removed
02 - 1 ball mozzarella (120g)
03 - 2 eggs
04 - 150ml milk
05 - 5 tablespoons flour
06 - Sunflower oil, for frying
07 - Salt and pepper, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Whisk the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Place flour on a separate plate and set aside.
02 - Slice the mozzarella into medium-thick pieces and divide them between two slices of crustless bread. Ensure no mozzarella overhangs the edges.
03 - Cover each slice of mozzarella-topped bread with another slice of bread to form a sandwich, and cut each sandwich diagonally into triangles.
04 - Dip each triangle first in flour, ensuring all edges are covered, then dip them quickly in the egg mixture, again ensuring all edges are coated.
05 - Heat sunflower oil in a pan until it is 1/4 inch deep and hot. Test by dropping a small crust into the oil; if it sizzles and floats, the oil is ready. Fry the triangles in batches until golden and crispy on both sides.
06 - Place the fried sandwiches on kitchen paper to drain excess oil and cool slightly before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to achieve optimal crispiness.
02 - Allow the sandwiches to rest on kitchen paper to remove excess oil and cool slightly.
03 - For variation, add ingredients such as salted anchovies, prosciutto, roasted vegetables, or sun-dried tomatoes to customize the recipe.
